Our 2008-2009 Season

7th Annual Summer Concert Series
Now in the air conditioned comfort of the Hamilton Wenham Community House!

Our 2008-2009 season comes to a close with our 7th Annual Summer Concert series. Join us on Wednesdays for wonderful evenings of song ranging from Broadway to opera to Gilbert and Sullivan and more! Concerts are performed by professional singers from all over eastern  Massachusetts. After 6 years in Topsfield, we have moved the Series to the beautiful Hamilton Wenham Community House (Rt 1A in Hamilton right across from Patton Park). Not only does the hall have a lovely stage and piano, but is AIR CONDITIONED! So whether it’s a beautiful summer night or one of our scorchers, come and enjoy a comfortable, cool night of great song!

Doug Hammer, piano
Doug Hammer is a veteran musician, composer, producer, arranger, and engineer, with clients ranging
from corporations to singers to songwriters. He founded, developed and runs Dreamworld Productions, a full service music production company and recording studio. He has composed and produced music for commercials, film, video, and theater. He works with many vocalists as pianist, arranger, musical director, and CD producer. Doug has just released his first solo piano CD, entitled Solace. He will be releasing piano, ethereal, and cinematic music in the coming year. He is a scholarship graduate of Berklee College of Music.

Patrice Williamson, vocalist
A regular at Boston’s celebrated
Regattabar since1996, vocalist Patrice has also appeared in the company of Tony Bennett, James
Moody, and Cassandra Wilson at the Tanglewood Jazz Festival; and Danilo Perez and Kevin Mahogony
at the Marblehead Jazz Festival. Around the U.S., she’s been heard at Boston’s Symphony Hall,
Jordan Hall, Hatch Shell, and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum; as well as the IDB Cultural Center
Concert Series in Washington, DC. The critics and the jazz community have not been slow to recognize
that her talent is for real. The response to her debut recording, My Shining Hour (released in September 1998) has been overwhelmingly positive, drawing favorable comparisons to legends like Ella Fitzgerald
and Sarah Vaughan. She was honored with a coveted "Best of Boston" award in 1997, and in 1999 and 2000 was a nominee for "Best Jazz Vocalist" by the Kahlua Boston Music Awards.

Brad Peloquin, tenor
Singer/Actor Brad Peloquin enjoys a varied performance career. He has performed with the Huntington Theater, North Shore Music Theater, New Repertory Theatre, Lyric Stage Company, Bristol Valley Playhouse, New England Light Opera, and Opera Theater of Rochester. Solo appearances include the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (Pops), Red House Opera, Harvard Baroque Orchestra, Masterworks Chorale, Poughkeepsie Symphony, Marsh Chapel Concert Series and the Elliot Norton Awards. His international appearance include a recital tour, Nagasaki, Japan; Featured Soloist with the Britten-
